7 Hollywood’s High Earners from Jim Parsons to Several More

In Hollywood, big names usually command a higher price. In some cases, those who are not well-known may earn a lot of money because they were instrumental in bringing a particular show to the attention of the general public. There are a number of them, including Friends.

Individually, the members of the group were not household names when they began the show, but after being a part of the successful show for a while, they were on the lips of everyone who watched the sitcom. It was only natural for each actor to earn a substantial sum, some of which they allocated to various investments. Continue reading to find out more about the top earners in Hollywood in recent years.

Mark Harmon ($19 million annually)

NCIS is a popular police procedural series, and Mark Harmon, who plays Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the show, is a Hollywood veteran who has been performing since the 1970s. We all know that the show makes a lot of money, and Harmon wisely asked his lawyers to negotiate that he get a cut of the show’s profits, which is why he got such a big paycheck. Unfortunately, while the show was renewed for a 19th season, Harmon was not, most likely due to the large salary the production team had to pay him. At the very least, he was able to earn a lot of money while it lasted.

Eric Stonestreet ($13.5 million)

Eric Stonestreet was ranked sixth on the list of highest-paid actors in 2018. He received $13.5 million for his role as Cameron Tucker in Modern Family. He not only received compensation, but also recognition, as the actor received three consecutive Primetime Emmy nominations for his role. Stonestreet will host Domino Masters beginning March 9, 2022, so he is not retiring just yet.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson ($13 million)

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, another Modern Family actor, was paid $13 million for his role as Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom. He, like Eric Stonestreet, has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy, though he received five nominations. The actor also deserves credit for being nominated four times for Screen Actors Guild Awards. He received the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance for his work in Fully Committed.

Simon Helberg ($23.5 million)

The cast of The Big Bang Theory is up next on our list. Simon Helberg, who plays Howard, was paid $23.5 million. We know that the series has ended and that it was their final hurrah, but this money can go a long way if he makes the right investments. He’s now worth $45 million, so we can assume he made the right decisions.

Kunal Nayyar ($23.5 million)

Kunal Nayyar received $23.5 million in a tie with Simon Helberg. This does not come close to the record held by other celebrities, but it is a significant development for someone of Indian ancestry. Hollywood is well-known for its discrimination against people of other cultures, but they appeared to have warmed up to Nayyar to a large degree. After all, he is a fantastic actor.

Johnny Galecki ($25 million)

He made a lot of money playing Leonard. Johnny Galecki received a salary of $25 million for his role in The Big Bang Theory. According to Forbes, he is the second highest-paid actor in 2018. For those wondering what happened to him after that, he appears to have moved on from sitcoms to medical drama. He could next play a lawyer.

Jim Parsons ($26.5 million)

Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon Cooper in the TV show The Big Bang Theory, is at the top of the list for 2018. He received a whopping $26.5 million, plus a slew of credits for his efforts. It is also commendable that the big four stars of TBBT took a pay cut as a protest and also to help Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik earn more because they were paid less simply because they were women.

However much they earn in a year, if these celebrities are not so good at making money work for them, the next story we might see is them turning from riches to rags. We hope not, of course, as we wish them all the best.
