7 Reality Stars Who Became Massively Successful People

The phrase “it’s not where you started, but it’s where you end up” could easily apply to the people on this list. In this article, we’ve compiled a list of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars who got their start in reality television. Without a doubt, these celebrities deserve credit for making the most of their reality TV appearances and becoming some of the industry’s biggest names!

Emma Stone

One could argue that every successful Hollywood celebrity had to start somewhere, and Emma Stone is one actress who began her career in a number of television shows. Emma’s television credits include Malcolm in the Middle, Medium, and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, among others. Emma also appeared in VH1’s reality show In Search of the Partridge Family, in addition to these shows.

Emma has successfully transitioned from a television star to a well-known Hollywood actress. This former television star now has a slew of acting awards and accolades, including an Oscar.

Beyonce

Beyonce is a celebrity who has spent her entire career in the spotlight. Interestingly, she first appeared on Star Search as a member of Girl’s Tyme, and we can’t help but be surprised that they lost. We can’t imagine Beyonce losing a mid-level talent show like Star Search.

You could argue that Beyonce is okay with losing in Star Search. After all, she’s managed to carve out an incredibly successful career as an entertainer. She’s also extremely wealthy, and there’s no reason to believe that Beyonce will require a money loan anytime soon.

Jon Hamm

Everyone who grew up watching Mad Men will remember the iconic television character “Don Draper.” Interestingly, before Mad Men, Jon Hamm had several television credits to his name, one of which is on The Big Date. In case you didn’t know, The Big Date was a popular dating show that aired on the USA network from 1996 to 1997.

“Some fabulous food and a fabulous conversation that will hopefully end with a fabulous foot massage for an evening filled with total fabulosity,” was Hamm’s famous pickup line. It’s a mouthful of a pickup line, to say the least.

Britney Spears

Beyonce isn’t the only pop icon who failed to compete in Star Search. We can’t help but wonder why the Star Search judges didn’t pick Britney Spears to win the entire competition. Britney lost in 1992, but it provided her with enough exposure to land a role on The New Mickey Mouse Club. It’s worth noting that Britney appeared in The New Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake and Keri Russell.

Britney used her failure on Star Search as motivation to become an incredibly successful entertainer. Britney was able to release her debut album seven years later, and she’s been able to put out hit after hit since then.

Kylie Jenner

We’ll assume that everyone is aware of Kylie Jenner’s current status. Kylie first came to public attention as a result of the hit reality television show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She has certainly capitalized on the show’s attention and cultivated a massively successful career outside of entertainment and television.

Kylie Jenner, in addition to being a well-known personality, also became an entrepreneur, launching her own cosmetics line, Kylie Cosmetics. As a result of her investment, Kylie became Forbes’ youngest self-made billionaire.

Cardi B

Cardi B was a reality television star before becoming one of today’s most talented musical acts. She rose to a great degree of prominence after appearing in seasons six and seven of Love & Hip Hop: New York. As a result, Cardi was able to launch her own music career, allowing her to achieve enormous success.

There’s no denying that Cardi B has built an incredibly successful career. She is currently one of the top artists in the industry, and her career as a musician/rapper has earned her a sizable fortune.

Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake is without a doubt one of today’s most well-known celebrities. Back in 1992, however, Justin was simply known as “Justin Randall,” and he wore a cowboy hat while singing Alan Jackson’s “Love’s Got a Hold On You” on Star Search. Timberlake, like many other successful celebrities, did not win, but it didn’t matter.

Following Star Search, Timberlake landed a role on The New Mickey Mouse Club, alongside Ryan Gosling and Britney Spears. Following Star Search, Timberlake joined NSYNC, which went on to become one of the most successful boy bands of all time. After NSYNC, Timberlake continued to cultivate a dominant solo career, and he also managed to amass a significant number of film acting credits!
